Subcultures in South Korea

  1. Ulzzang: Ulzzang (얼짱) is the word or term used both online and in real life to describe all those people who are physically attractive and not only this, but it has gained an immense audience for its physical attractiveness. Its beauty resides specifically in the face. These people pamper their appearance with many cosmetic products. Men and women belong to this subculture.

    2. K-popers: People who listen to K-pop are called Kpopers. These people usually identify with the Korean culture, which is where this trend comes from, which has spread internationally, especially in Asian countries. 
· Origin: The word K-pop means Korean Popular music, and as its name suggests, it comes from South Korea.
In some cases, there are kpopers who are fans of specific groups, while others are fans of musical styles (kpop dance, or kpop rap, etc). Lastly, there are also kpopers who are simply followers of K-pop culture in general.
